the home of lineage replica props

Our Story

When we started out creating stuff, we were all a part of this underground replica prop movement. It was like a club and we all just got it. We were making it happen together. Fans with the same passion. It was a community and it’s members had a range of different talents.  Painters, sculptors, mould makers and researchers came together with a shared focus, the desire to make the stuff we saw on screen. We were born out of this community. We’re still part of it.

In the years since then, this whole scene broke out of the secret groups and closed forums. It became more accessible. It’s not mainstream, but now you can stumble into the replica world without looking too hard.

Making our replicas got us noticed.  Our working prop studio has now made props for many productions including big studio movies. Our work is also displayed in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

In this new era, this golden age of Replica Props, with an expanding community, we think it’s time to shine a light on what we do and why.

The magic happens in our Manchester studio, it’s great to have people come over and hang out. When you see what we do and importantly why, you’ll start to understand what we are all about.

Follow us across social media or here at our digital home to see whats coming next and to be a part of it.

Where it all started.  Simon’s original stormtrooper suit launched RS and the rest, as they say is awesome.

Meet The Gang

ROB

Trained as a graphic designer then moved into manufacturing and quality assurance, came in handy. Upon discovering the replica prop community I found my home and never left. 70’s and 80’s Sci-fi movies and pop culture are not just a way of life, they are life.

Star Wars is……..three amazing movies.

Simon

An avid Star Wars collector since 1977 when I picked up my first Star Wars figure, walrus man. I studied fine art and graphic design before building and painting replica props as the ‘S’ in RS.

Star Wars is……….

Paul

Paul is the daddy in more ways than one. He runs a tight ship and keeps things together. Did I mention the beard? Beauty and the Beast.

Star Wars is………

Andrea

Our admin supremo.

Andrea keeps the orders in order and sends emails around the clock. If you need something it starts here.

Peter

Pete’s probably built more accurate Stormtroopers than any one else in the world. He’s our armour guy but can build and finish most of the stuff we create. With an eye for detail and pride in his work he never lets us down.

Sean

Grandad, slow and steady. If the Queen wanted a prop replica Sean would be the man to build it. Let me explain, everything he makes is fit for Buckingham palace, just don’t try and rush him. Sean has a keen interest in politics, but we don’t hold that against him.

Favourite Star Wars quote. “Beam me up Scotty”

Ellis

Always half asleep or should that be half awake? Ellis, or Wedge to the rest of the team, builds and finishes stuff.  Wedge is the baby of the team and we don’t let him forget it. When wedge is not building props you will find him gaming.

Becka

Becka paints and weathers our props. She comes from a Fine Art and Humanities background. Finding the Star Wars prop community via her previous experience with building historical replicas and costumes, along with scale model making and miniatures. She likes all the Star Wars movies, even the new ones.

Fave Star Wars quote: “it didn’t go in, it just impacted on the surface”

Jay

Jay’s the name and shipping’s the game. A new old face, Jason is back for his second tour of RS. Jay mostly looks after dispatch with his great product knowledge.

Interesting fact, he once auditioned to be the Cadbury Milk Tray man.
